Foton turns over 6 Toano Ambulances to Philippine Red Cross

The COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting the whole world and we have to arm ourselves in the best way possible to fight and respond to this challenge. FOTON Philippines has been in the forefront of providing the country with various commercial vehicles to fit the needs of different industries and this pandemic is no exemption. To address the need for safe transport of patients during the pandemic, FOTON Philippines turned over 6 units of the Toano Negative Pressure Ambulance to the Philippine Red Cross. This is the first fleet of negative pressure ambulances in the country.

This ambulance, also known as the “mobile N95 solution” isolates the patient from the vehicle cabin to control spread of the infection from the patient to the medical team in the ambulance. It is also equipped with a full set of rescue equipment including a ventilator, defibrillator, ECG monitor, ultraviolet disinfection lamp and central oxygen supply interface. The FOTON Toano has a length of close to 6 meters and height of 1.7 meters which has a bigger space compared to other vans and will allow medical institutions to add more medical equipment that can be used for emergency response to COVID-19 patients.

“As the virus continues to spread the demand for professional ambulance equipment in the Philippines has started to increase and we are here to provide the solution for your medical mobility needs.” Rommel Sytin, President of UAAGI, exclusive distributor of FOTON vehicles in the Philippines said.Despite the quarantine situation, FOTON has continued to provide ambulances to different government units who have signified their need during this time. FOTON Philippines also has regular ambulance units available for sale in their 29 dealerships nationwide.
