For those just starting out who want to get a laptop that can deliver for everyday work and also be game-ready at the same time, the Dell G series is worth checking out. The series is comprised of three main laptops, the G3, G5, and G7, look pretty much the same physically but come with different specs and features to match each user’s needs. The G7 15 also boasts of being one of the thinnest gaming laptops out there. Surprisingly, looks were deceiving as its three-piece metal construction appeared heavy to me until I tried to lift it up. It measures 19.9mm thin and weighs around 2.62kg. It is available in Abyss Grey and the price starts from P113,990.

The G5, on the other hand, comes in two variants—the 15 and 15 SE. It sports a 15.6” screen with narrow bezels on the sides. It also comes with a full size HDMI 2.0 port for connecting to external monitors, supporting up to 4K. Additionally, it has a USB 3.0 port that supports displayport, power delivery, and thunderbolt 3. It is available in Deep Space Black and a limited-edition Alpine White. The  G5 15’s price starts at P68,990

Dell also unveiled the first G series gaming desktop, the G5 Gaming Desktop. Designed to offer game-ready power, graphics, and features all in a compact and upgradable form. It is customizable with up to i7K-Series CPUs and VR-capable NVIDIA GeForce GTX and RTX GPU. The G5 gaming desktop will be available soon and will retail at P57,990.

Lastly, the G3 15 delivers  both power and performance at a very competitive price point. It maintains the same sleek look as its brothers, albeit being slightly larger, and a 51Whr integrated battery. It is available in an eclipse black color and its price will start at P46,990

Alienware

The first Alienware to come to the Philippines is a redesigned m15 that is leaner, more advanced, and more powerful than its predecessor. A total lightweight that packs in the punches, it is also powered by NVIDIA GeForce GPUs and Intel processors. It features a magnesium alloy chassis, allowing it to be thinner and lighter than even the G7. Gamers can choose between a 144Hz or 240Hz refresh panel and Cryo-tech 3.0 keeps everything cool.

The m15 will be available on the third week of October and its price will start at P149,990.
