The program officially takes effect on April 6, 2026, and applies to all eligible Continental passenger, SUV/4×4, and light truck tires purchased starting on that date.
In a market where tire warranties are typically limited to manufacturing defects, Continental stands out as one of the very few tire brands in the country offering a structured limited warranty program that includes road hazard protection, addressing real-world driving risks faced daily on Philippine roads.
Comprehensive Coverage, Clearly Defined
The Total Confidence Plan provides dual-layer protection, combining road hazard coverage and manufacturing defect warranty into a single, easy-to-understand program.
1. Road Hazard Protection (Year 1 only)
TCP covers unrepairable tire damage caused by everyday road conditions within 12 months from purchase or until the tire reaches 5mm remaining tread depth—whichever comes first.
Covered scenarios include:
- Severe punctures beyond repair
- Sidewall cuts exposing tire cords
- Impact damage from potholes or broken pavement
- Road debris-related damage
- Run-flat damage due to penetration or cuts (subject to validation)
For approved claims, customers are entitled to a one-to-one (1:1) replacement with a brand-new Continental tire of the same specification or nearest equivalent.
Each registered tire is eligible for one (1) free replacement during the first year only.
2. Manufacturing Defect Warranty (Up to 5 Years)
Beyond road hazard protection, TCP is supported by Continental’s standard warranty against manufacturing defects, with coverage depending on the tire’s date of manufacture:
- Tires up to 6 years old (from current year):
- Year 1: Road hazard + manufacturing defect coverage
- Years 2 to 5: Manufacturing defect coverage (pro-rated basis)
- Tires 7 to 9 years old:
- Year 1 only: Road hazard + manufacturing defect coverage
Manufacturing defect claims are processed under standard warranty guidelines and are subject to pro-rated adjustments, not full replacement under TCP.
Built for Everyday Filipino Driving
The program applies to Continental passenger, SUV/4×4, and light truck (PLT) tires, ensuring relevance for daily commuting, family use, and personal mobility.
To qualify, customers must:
- Purchase at least two brand-new Continental tires in one transaction
- Buy from authorized dealers or official online stores
- Register within seven (7) days from purchase via the TCP portal
Each tire is registered individually and linked to a specific vehicle and customer, ensuring accurate validation and accountability.
Simple, Digital Claims Process
TCP introduces a streamlined and transparent claims system, allowing customers to file and monitor claims conveniently.
The process includes:
- Uploading photo and video evidence of the damaged tire
- Completing a live video technical inspection with JMFEI’s technical team
- Receiving claim results within 2 to 4 business days
Approved replacements are fulfilled nationwide, with estimated availability:
- NCR: Minimum 5 business days
- Luzon: Minimum 7 business days
- Visayas & Mindanao: Minimum 14 business days
Clear Limits, Fair Use
The program is designed to protect against real-world driving risks while maintaining clear boundaries.
TCP does not cover:
- Repairable punctures or cosmetic damage
- Improper use, racing, or off-road misuse
- Poor maintenance (under/over-inflation, misalignment, etc.)
- Installation-related damage
- Taxis and car rental vehicles
- External events such as accidents, fire, or flooding
