Comm&Sense renews campaign for positive parenting with Save the Children Philippines

Comm&Sense continues to advance its advocacy for positive parenting as it partners anew with Save the Children Philippines in sustaining the award-winning “The Pinoy Parent” campaign.

The Pinoy Parent (TPP) is a project started by Comm&Sense and Save the Children Philippines four years ago where the two launched a publication platform with the goal of engaging young parents and turning them into supporters of positive ways of raising their children.

This advocacy has since won recognition from various groups. Just this year, The Pinoy Parent was cited by the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards for Innovation in Social Media.

Under the partnership, Comm&Sense will be donating Php 1 million worth of services to Save the Children Philippines for The Pinoy Parent campaign, which will aid in the latter’s mission to create a safe space and support the self-empowerment of parents.

The agreement was officially signed by Mr. Jaeger Tanco, CEO of Comm&Sense, and Atty. Albert Muyot, CEO of Save the Children, at a ceremony held at the Comm&Sense headquarters in Makati.

Tanco expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. He said, “This partnership became even more meaningful for me this time because I’m a new parent. I realized that we need a lot of help, support, and guidance from the people around us. So I am very thankful to Save the Children for this project”

He added, “We remain committed to this partnership and the community we have built together. A lot has been done but there’s so much more that we need to accomplish as we strive to empower our Pinoy parents.”

Atty. Albert Muyot shared the same sentiment.“In the course of our campaign, you know very well that we almost succeeded in passing a legislation that will enshrine positive parenting. Unfortunately, the bill was vetoed and that’s when we realized that we needed a platform like the Pinoy Parent, for our campaign on positive parenting at the Supreme Court,  to create a demand for a law that will really protect children,” he said.

The collaboration between Comm&Sense and Save the Children Philippines seeks to amplify the promotion of positive parenting by combining their expertise to drive the advocacy to newer heights. Hence, the establishment and continuing work of The Pinoy Parent.

The Pinoy Parent platform, powered by Save the Children Philippines, serves as an educational resource for parents on ways and favorable effects of positive discipline over the physical and humiliating punishment for children.
Comm&Sense is an award-winning PR agency in the Philippines with top prizes in three highly coveted marketing and communications categories for its clients and partners, including Save the Children Philippines.
