It’s a fact that the cycling world and the riding performance are continuously moving forward, making the need and the demand for innovative gear to grow every season. The research conducted by the American independent test lab, Friction Facts, was our sign for the big change and the proof that CeramicSpeed needed to develop and launch the world’s fastest oversized pulley wheel system. A game changer from its launch, the Oversized Pulley Wheel System (OSPW System) is the choice of every discerning rider in the 2016 season and the seasons to come.

Besides being the choice of World Tour teams like Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka at Tour Down Under in January, the OSPW System has been acknowledged for its advance at the Taipei Cycle d&i awards.

Looking to find the most innovative products and the finest designs that entered the cycling world in the new season, this coveted award gathered entries from all over the world sealing the upcoming trends in the cycling world. Amongst the winners, the CeramicSpeed OSPW System was chosen for its level of innovation, the quality of the design, workmanship, choice of materials, functionality, safety and its impact on improving performance when riding. The prize was awarded at the Taipei Cycle Pre-Show Press Conference.

Nathan Haas of Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka says “I never imagined that something so standard on every bike could be reinvented and make such a clear difference in feeling. Changing from 11 to 17 teeth makes quite a difference and it is funny to see how CeramicSpeed has raised the game against the current trend for everything to be smaller, more streamlined with the development of the OSPW system. This system can be the whole difference when it counts. It has been wonderful being one of the first to get its advantage, because soon I fear, it will become the standard. But before that is the case, I hope to squeeze out some results with it!”

Engineered to answer the increasing demand for less friction and speed, the OSPW System is a true advancement in cycling performance. It consists of 17-tooth alloy pulley wheels fitted with CeramicSpeed bearings, a specially designed lightweight cage made from polyamide and carbon fiber, finished with titanium bolts. Compatible with Shimano Ultegra/Dura Ace 10s and 11s both electronic and mechanical, this innovative system is proven to reduce friction in the pulleys by 60%, or more in some cases. It delivers watt savings from 2.4 watts and 3-5 times longer lifetime compared to the most commonly used high-end 11s stock pulleys.

DAN’S is the exclusive Philippine distributor of CeramicSpeed.
