Canon Marketing Philippines Inc., Canon’s largest Asian subsidiary, marked its 20th year of doing business in the Philippines on December 18, 2016, and to celebrate the momentous occasion, the company is launching several promotions including a business makeover promotion for SMEs as well as promotions for both its consumer camera and printer products.

Last year, Canon Marketing Philippines Inc. helped several companies by giving them free business makeovers using Canon’s range of solutions. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the company is giving “business makeovers” or subsidized tech upgrades worth P500,000 to 20 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) around the country.

For its regular consumers, the company also plans to hold several promotions to celebrate this momentous year. These promotions will include freebies such as accessories and photo paper, among others, for customers who purchase select Canon cameras or printers such as the EOS M10, M5, and 1300D cameras as well as a number of PIXMA professional printers.

Canon also announced several of its products that will be coming to the country this year including the new PowerShot G9X Mark II, PowerShot SX430 IS, IXUS 190, and IXUS 185 digital cameras as well as the PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000, PIXMA Ink Efficient E410, and E470 printers for its general consumers and the new imagePROGRAF Pro Series, imagePRESS, Dream Lab 5000 printers for its business clients.

The company also plans to implement a new service for its mid-range and professional digital camera (e.g. EOS 70D, 7D, etc.) owners where, instead of bringing the camera to a service center when it breaks down, the company will pick up, service, and deliver the camera themselves, adding another layer of service to the company’s already stacked array of quality services.

In his speech to the media, Canon Marketing Philippines Inc. President Lim Kok Hin noted that in spite of the proliferation of smartphones, which has globally affected the digital camera industry, the company has been able to keep up and has even seen growth in its mid-range and high-end professional digital cameras—although he mentioned a notable drop in the demand for digital compact cameras.

He also wanted to thank its customers for their unwavering support of the brand in the past 20 years and that the company plans to continue its commitment of providing its Filipino customers with the best quality service and products they deserve.

He announced several adjustments within the company’s leadership as well including the introduction of Sony and Samsung alumnus, Benny Yu, as the new Head of Consumer Goods and Products (Printer and Camera) and Kristine Dacanay who will now take on the reins of overall marketing communication initiatives of Canon Marketing Philippines Inc.’s Consumer Group.
