Canon lightweights throw hard punches

Recently, Canon unveiled some of its exciting product innovations for the year including its newest full-frame mirrorless camera, the Canon EOS RP, and its smallest and lightest photo-printer to date.

Definitely something that should be seen, or rather, held—to be believed, the EOS RP was just about as light as a cup of coffee while the Mini Photo Printer is lighter than your typical smartphone.

The EOS RP is a full-frame interchangeable mirrorless camera. Powered by the EOS R system technology, the EOS RP is equipped with the RF lens mount that sports a short flange focal distance of 20mm and Canon’s proprietary DIGIC 8 image processor with Dual Pixel CMOS AD technology. Its enhanced ergonomics make for easy operability, suitable for travelers, vloggers, or just about any photography enthusiast. It is equipped with a 26.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and a native ISO range of 100-4,000 that can be expanded to 50-102,400. It shoots video in Ultra High Definition 4K at 24p/25p.

The EOS RP will pre-sell from March 11-25 at P89,998 with freebies such as an EF-EOS R Mount Adapter, LP-E17 battery, 128GB SD card, lens discounts, and more. While the EOS RP with an additional RF24-105mm lens brings the price to P156,998.

The Mini Photo Printer is for everyone who wants to capture memories on the go. It uses a mobile app to connect to your device via Bluetooth and can also retrieve photos from your social media accounts, Google Drive, and Dropbox. If you’re wondering how something that size is able to print out great photos, it’s because it uses a dry-printing technology from ZINK which removes the need for ink cartridges. It delivers 2 x 3-inch glossy photo prints that double as stickers as you can edit, add fun stickers and frames, filters through the app before printing.

The Mini Photo Printer comes in Slate Grey, Rose Gold, and Mint Green and it comes with a starter pack of 10 sheets of photo paper and a charger cable. It retails at P9,900 and is bundled with two packs of photo paper as well as limited edition Toki Doki items worth P4,100.
