BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has officially launched its newest fully electric vehicle, the BYD Sealion 7. Unveiled at the Glorietta Activity Center, the Sealion 7 emerges as the brand’s premier all-electric performance SUV, bringing the sleek, high-powered engineering DNA of the acclaimed Seal EV sedan into a versatile, family-centric crossover layout.

Designed for drivers seeking premium innovation and power, the Sealion 7 boasts an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) drivetrain powered by dual electric motors. It delivers a staggering combined output of 530PS (523hp) and 690Nm of torque, capable of launching the SUV from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
At the heart of this performance is the ultra-safe 82.6 kWh BYD Blade Battery, which provides an impressive maximum cruising range of 542km New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) on a single charge – a distance comparable to a drive from Baguio to Parañaque and back on just a single charge. The vehicle also features four distinct drive modes to adapt to varying road conditions and driver preferences.
Measuring 4,830 mm long, 1,925 mm wide, and 1,620 mm tall, the Sealion 7 also offers a spacious interior complete with premium features like power and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic glass roof. It also comes with a power tailgate with kick sensor functionality, allowing for easier and more convenient hands-free access when loading and unloading cargo. Alongside this comes a front trunk that provides additional storage for added practicality.
Built for convenience and immersion, the performance SUV is packed with advanced smart technologies. The cabin features a massive 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a Heads Up Display (HUD), and voice assistant functions.
For added utility, the Sealion 7 also acts as a mobile power station, equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology that allows drivers to plug in external appliances directly to the car. This feature can also serve as a convenient backup power source during outdoor activities or unexpected power outages.
Safety remains a top priority with the inclusion of the DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This comprehensive safety suite includes a 360-degree view camera with see-through mode, Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Assistance (LDA), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Among other active safety features, the BYD Sealion 7 is equipped with a Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system, which uses an interior camera and sensors to detect driver fatigue and distraction, helping ensure safer long journeys.
The all-new BYD Sealion 7 AWD is officially priced at PHP 2,588,000. This includes a solid 6-year or 160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty package and an 8-year or 160,000 km for the BYD Blade battery. It also delivers strong long-term value through its lower cost of ownership, including a once-a-year Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS), with estimated PMS savings of up to 50% versus comparable C-segment SUVs. It is available in four exterior colors: Shark Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White, and Deep Sea Blue, all paired with black interiors to match its stylish design.
Customers who purchase a BYD Sealion 7 through BPI, will be able to enjoy an all-in low downpayment of PHP 388,000 with 1 year free comprehensive insurance until June 30.
The launch of the Sealion 7 kicks off the BYD Tech Tour at the Glorietta Activity Center from May 28 to May 31.
