Auto Asia opens its doors to the Philippine market

Auto Asia, a new dealership set to make waves in the local automotive industry, aims to offer only the best of Asian automotive technology. Slated to carry the Korean SUV Specialist, SsangYong and one of China’s top automotive brands, Changan, Auto Asia opens its doors to buyers looking for quality vehicles whether for business or personal use.

World-class products under one roof

SsangYong known for their Tivoli subcompact SUV, Rodius 9-seater MPV, and Musso pickup, looks to broaden its appeal by unveiling the long-wheelbase Musso Grand, as well as the Rexton 7-seat midsize SUV.

The Musso Grand comes with leaf spring suspension, carries the biggest cargo bed, and will be the longest pick-up truck in the market. The Musso line will also be the only pick-up model that offers two suspension options—coil springs and leaf springs. The Rexton, which inspired the Musso, is a wide, medium-sized SUV. It offers a spacious cabin and a tastefully designed interior, making for a comfortable ride.

Changan, on the other hand, has had 35 years of experience building passenger cars and commercial vehicles both in China and around the world. Its initial release will include the Honor S 7-seat MPV that features sliding doors for easy ingress and egress; and the Star Truck small truck, ideal for small and medium-scale businesses. The Chinese automotive maker will complement SsangYong’s product offerings and both brands will be sold under the Auto Asia dealership brand.

“When a buyer walks into an Auto Asia dealership, one can choose from a wide range of products from SUVs, pickup trucks, MPVs, or small trucks for both the family and one’s business. And they will get the same brand of sales and after-sales service that puts the customer first,” shares Mr. Japheth Castillo, President of SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines, Inc. and Berjaya Auto Asia, Inc.

Customer-centric care

The kind of customer care Castillo is referring to is a 1,300sq.m. facility located along the National Road, Purok 3, Pulong Sta Cruz, Sta Rosa, Laguna. Here, one will be greeted by a well-lit display area showcasing the best of what both brands have to offer. An 8-vehicle service area will be on standby to for vehicle maintenance. Five of these service bays even have lifters to ensure that your vehicle is cared for inside, outside, and under. It is also equipped with tire changers, and wheel balancing and alignment machines to make it easier for customers to maintain their vehicles.

Complementing the dealership is Auto Asia’s Mobile Service Van. As the name suggests, the Mobile Service Van will provide periodic maintenance service to customers within a 100km radius from the dealership.

With Auto Asia set to open dealerships in and around Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and the National Capital Region, anyone looking to buy a SsangYong or Changan vehicle can rest easy knowing that they can always count on service for their vehicle. The service is distance-based, meaning one pays for the equivalent distance from the dealership. This is on top of the usual charges for Periodic Maintenance Service. SsangYong also offers free 3-year service (parts, oil, and labor) for all its vehicles. There is a 5-year warranty only for SsangYong, while warranty for Changan differs between models—depending on the type of vehicle.
