Audio-Technica is enabling music-lovers to experience full and textured bass levels more viscerally with the addition of seven in-ear and over-ear headphones to its Solid Bass® range. The new range of products features the revolutionary Deep Motion High-Res Audio Drivers and Dual Phase Push-Pull Drivers for an enhanced audio experience.
Bass heads who love music with heart-thumping power and punch can now listen to hard rock, hip-hop, metal, electronica and other bass-driven music the way it is meant to be heard, at affordable price points and in absolute comfort. The high-resolution audio is a first for Solid Bass. Although the Solid Bass line-up focuses on bass, Audio-Technica has still managed to maintain the low-, mid- and high-frequency components of music without overpowering each other.

All seven headphones are designed to produce musical compositions with a well-rounded presence and outstanding bass reproduction.
CKS1100iS
The ATH-CKS1100iS uses two facing 12.5mm, Dual Phase Push-Pull drivers which improves response with outstanding linearity resulting in enhanced acoustic reproduction, delivering expressive sound with reduced distortion over a wide range of frequencies. The CKS1100iS comes with high-resolution audio which is a first for Solid Bass. With the Dual Airflow Bass Venting System, it provides precise control of diaphragm movement for high-resolution audio. To improve high-frequency characteristics, the CKS1100iS has DLC (diamond-like carbon) with high hardness close to diamond in front of the diaphragm.
The addition of machined aluminium housings reduces unwanted vibration from driver movement for extended mid-high frequency reproduction. The exclusive A2DC-type (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) detachable 1.2m cable increases the resistance and maintenance of the noise.
CKS990iS, CKS770iS and CKS550iS
Engineered specially for a deep sounding bass that does not compromise on the mid and high frequency contents, the CKS990iS, CKS770iS and CKS550iS in-ear headphones are designed with various features that allow users to experience unimaginably full and textured bass. The Solid Bass In-Ear headphones features Dual Magnetic-Field Drivers to bring powerful yet precise bass reproduction in all 3 models. The position of additional magnet in front of the driver brings powerful yet precise bass reproduction
Just like the CKS1100iS, CKS990iS features the Dual Airflow Bass Venting System for precise control of diaphragm movement for high-resolution audio. DLC coating is also featured in the CKS990iS to ensure good quality high frequency characteristics. The CKS770iS and CKS550iS features the Airflow-Bass Venting System which provides excellent air damping. Additionally, the CKS770iS comes with machined aluminum housings which contributes to extended mid-high frequency reproduction.
WS1100iS
The ATH-WS1100iS Solid Bass Headphones uses large 53 mm Deep Motion Hi-Res Audio Drivers, designed exclusively with ultra-powerful magnetic circuit, dual aluminium housing and extra airflow-bass venting to optimize air damping for transparent and massive bass sound. Like the CKS1100iS, WS1100iS comes with high-res audio which is a first for Solid Bass. It delivers more detailed sound through capturing the nuances of analogue music in higher-resolution formats, in the same way high-definition images reveal more details than their low-resolution counterparts.
The ATH-WS1100iS has dual-layer earpads to achieve increased isolation of the audio as comfort is a priority in keeping with today’s increasingly mobile consumers.
WS770iS and WS550iS
The two Solid Bass Over Ear headphones, ATH-WS770iS and ATH-WS550iS, feature the 53mm drivers which deliver impactful bass, along with smooth, accurate midrange and treble, for those who want to hear their music with power punch. In addition, WS770iS has Dual-aluminium rigid enclosure design with aluminium stabilizer and anti-vibration design to produce precise mid-high frequency.
Smartphone controllers provide flexibility
All Solid Bass models feature an in-line remote that provides the ability to control volume, play, pause, fast forward and rewind music playback functions on compatible Apple and Android devices. The remote also allows users to answer calls over the headphones.
