Three new ASUS ZenPad tablets have made a rather stylish entrance into the local tablet market. We welcome the ZenPad S 8 Z580CA, ZenPad Z370CG, and ZenPad C Z170CG. These new Android Lollipop-powered models are after the more fashionable set who want to carry around sleek yet powerful devices.
Design-wise, the new slates feature clean metallic finish with hairline pattern, diamond cut edges, and leather finishes. It’s definitely something you wouldn’t be ashamed of pulling out anywhere you might be.
The ZenPad S 8 packs in an 8-inch QXGA IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 2,048 x 1,536 resolution, Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core 64-bit processor, 2GB or 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage as well as storage expansion of up to 128GB via microSD.
The shooters on this thing are an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. This already comes equipped with USB Type C port, which makes it easier to plug in cables into the device. Battery life is expected to last around eight hours with its 15.2Wh lithium-ion polymer battery. It comes in black or white and retails for P16,995.
The ZenPad Z370CG, meanwhile, is a 7-inch, 3G-capable slate. It has a 1,280 x 800 resolution IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It runs on an Intel Atom x3-C3230 64-bit quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. This tablet comes with an 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and 2MP front camera. It promises around eight hours of battery life as well with its 13Wh li-polymer battery. It’s available in black, white, and aurora metallic for P7,995.
For the entry-level market, ASUS offers the ZenPad C. It’s also a 7-inch slate with 3G capability. But this time around, this supports dual micro SIMs. It’s powered by an Intel Atom x3-C3230 64-bit quad-core processor as well and has an IPS panel, too. But this only has a 1,024 x 600 resolution display. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD. It has a 2MP rear shooter and VGA front camera. It also has a 13Wh li-polymer battery with up to eight hours of battery life. The ZenPad C comes in black, white, red, and aurora metallic. This retails for P5,995.
