So, it’s happening. Aquaman 2 is coming. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who worked with Aquaman director James Wan on The Conjuring 2, and co-wrote the original film will be writing this movie.
Wan is said to be in talks to work on the sequel alongside Peter Safran, but it isn’t clear yet if Wan will be directing the film. The rumor is the film is coming back in December 2022. But before that we might see The Trench spinoff first.
