Accessorize the Galaxy S10

Launched alongside the new Galaxy S10 is a fresh lineup of accessories you might want to check out. Here’s a quick rundown of the new stuff:

Galaxy Watch Active

The Galaxy Watch Active balances style with sporty, featuring a minimalist design that everybody can pull off. It is also thin, light, and versatile—wearable by anyone who wants to switch to a healthier lifestyle. Plus, the strap comes in different interchangeable colors so you can mix and match to fit your own style and mood.

Compatible with both Android and iOS, the Galaxy Watch Active can help you manage stress, track sleep habits, exercise activity, and auto-detect and monitor certain exercises to keep you on the right track towards a better you.

At P11,990, it comes with voice control and is linked to a few popular third-party apps such as Armour, Spotify, and Strava. Samsung’s voice assistant, Bixby, is also integrated into the smartwatch, allowing you to easily make calls and send messages through it.

Galaxy Fit/Galaxy Fit e

While the Galaxy Watch Active comes with a round face, the Galaxy Fit and Fit e sports a thinner, angular look—much like the earlier smartwatches that the market saw. It also tracks sleep habits, stress, and monitors activity automatically. This smart band syncs with the Samsung Health App. It also syncs with your smartphone, enabling you to receive alerts, messages, and other useful information. Both the Fit and Fit e are water-resistant, with a 5ATM rating (meaning you can submerge it in up to 50m of water), so they can easily go with you from the shower to the pool to the rest of your day.

Galaxy Buds

To round up the wearables, the Galaxy Buds were announced at the same time as the S10 was launched—highlighting its PowerShare capability (which is also compatible with the Galaxy Watch Active, by the way). The Galaxy Buds promise a supreme listening experience with sound developed by AKG.

It comes with an adaptive dual microphone setup, which uses one inner microphone and one outer microphone in each earbud so that you can still be heard even in loud environments. It also integrates with Bixby so you can just speak to make, calls, send messages, and check the battery life of the earbuds.

Samsung promises that the Buds can last up to six hours of Bluetooth streaming and up to five hours of calls. Plus, the compact case can hold a charge for up to seven hours and gives the Galaxy Buds 1.7 hours on a quick 15-minute charge. It is currently being offered as part of the pre-order freebies for the Galaxy S10. It also retails at P6,990.

LED Back Cover

Samsung has a slew of new covers for the Galaxy S10 line. You have the usual LED View Cover, Clear View Cover, Leather Cover, Protective Standing Cover, and Silicone Cover. But the Galaxy S10 and S10+ are getting a special new LED Back Cover that lights up. It’s configurable to show off pre-set animation and it can do things like a countdown when you’re taking someone’s photo. We don’t have many details yet about this accessory but you can see it in the photo below.

Galaxy Friends x Marvel Back Cover

Marvel fans are in for a treat. There are special Marvel Back Covers you will be able to buy that also comes with special themes depending on which one you get. It will change everything from the Always On Display photo, lock screen, home screen, dialer, and message background.

Wireless Charger Duo & Wireless Combo Charge

We don’t know much about these accessories yet, but Samsung has a couple of wireless chargers you’d be able to buy for the new phones and wearables. The Wireless Charger Duo comes with Fast Charge 2.0 and has wide compatibility. It can charge the phone and Galaxy Watch Active at the same time. Meanwhile, the Wireless Combo Charge is a portable power back that offers both wireless and wired charging. It can even charge the Galaxy accessories that Samsung just launched.
