A new iPhone SE is here

Apple has unveiled the second-generation iPhone SE. For simplicity and identity, we’ll call it the iPhone SE2. If you want a modern iPhone but don’t want the aesthetics of the new ones, especially its price point, well this one’s probably for you.

Just like the first SE, the iPhone SE2 takes its form from an older iPhone of its generation – this time it has the shape of the iPhone 8. It’s got an aluminum body with glass front and rear. Given the iPhone 8 mold, the notches have returned. There’s a 4.7-inch Retina HD screen infront, while a Home button with Touch ID returns on the bottom notch.

Inside is Apple’s A13 Bionic chip which is the same one powering the iPhone 11 line. The cameras are also taken from the iPhone XR, which is the most powerful single-lens camera today.

The back has a 12mp f/1.8 camera while a 7mp f/2.2 camera is infront for selfies. However, both cameras have Portrait Mode, Depth Control (meaning you can adjust blur before or after the shot), Portrait Lighting, Quick Take Video (you can take video while in photo mode), Image Stabilization, and Cinematic Video Stabilization.

For video, the front camera can record 1080p at 30fps, while the rear camera has 4K up to 60fps and 1080p at up to 240fps in slow motion.
