The Huawei MatePad T 10s comes in a simple yet practical design with its premium metal body. It weighs only 450g and is 7.85mm thick, making this tablet conveniently sized and very easy to bring around. Its screen is 10.1 inches with an 80% screen-to-body ratio. Personally, the Huawei MatePad T 10s’ size is just right in order to fully enjoy and appreciate it and its features.
Under the Hood
What engines the Huawei MatePad T 10s is a new and super smooth EMUI 10.1 for an intuitive and responsive user interface, all while adding versatility to this media-centric device as well. One of the benefits of a powerful operating system such as this is that it is great for fast-paced workers, as it has a split-screen feature and can transfer different kinds of files from device to device at quick speeds.
It has full HD display powered by Huawei ClariVu Display Enhancement Technology in order to optimize color, brightness and saturation. Huawei has also developed a Super Resolution algorithm that impressively scales up lower-res content for a more immersive experience, which I enjoyed while watching videos on YouTube or social media that wasn’t necessarily of the best quality.
Harman Kardon, one of the more prominent brands in the audio industry, powers the dual-audio speaker system of the Huawei MatePad T 10s. As someone who is very fond of music and listens to music very often, I greatly enjoyed the overall audio quality of this tablet. I was pleasantly surprised by the volume that it reaches for a device of this size. More importantly, however, its sound quality was not compromised despite raising the volume. Additionally, there is also Huawei Histen 6.1 for surround sound, further improving the general audio quality and experience.
For a tablet that is relatively smaller in size, watching series on Netflix, videos on YouTube, playing games and listening to music were all fairly pleasant experiences due to the great visual and audio quality which, to me, are characteristics that matter greatly.
App Gallery & Petal Search widget
Two of the most exciting features of the Huawei MatePad T 10s are the App Gallery and the Petal Search widget which very simply and conveniently give the user the tools to access a broad range of content. The App Gallery, which happens to be the third largest app distributor globally, is Huawei’s official app marketplace which houses most, if not all, essential everyday apps such as GCash, iFlix, Shopee, Lazada, Grab, Food Panda and social media apps, among many others. The Petal Search widget, on the other hand, is where the user can search for various different content such as news, images, videos and even apps that are otherwise unavailable on the App Gallery, hence Huawei dubbing this feature as your “gateway to a million apps”. What’s most convenient about the widget is that it is immediately on the home screen, allowing the user to utilize its services very easily and directly.
Both the App Gallery and the Petal Search widget are integral parts that allow it to be as versatile as it is. The latter, in particular, is what I found that most embodies the Huawei MatePad T 10s’ entirety with how versatile, convenient and straightforward it is.

Whether if you’re a student looking for a tablet for online classes, a businessman who needs a multifunctional and reliable device, a kid who wants a tablet for a great entertainment experience, the Huawei MatePad T 10s will no doubt fulfill these purposes. Not only does its main features allow it to have great overall performance as a smart device, but its tools equip the user to be able to accomplish a vast array of tasks, and to accomplish them well. With this, the Huawei MatePad T 10s is an excellent all-around utility smart device that everyone in the entire family could greatly enjoy and benefit from.
