Transformer Book T300 Chi
The Transformer Book Chi doesn’t just boast a 1.65cm profile (when docked), it’s also powered by Intel’s new Core M processor; putting it up against the Apple MacBook Air. What the Chi has going for it is that it’s a thin, fast, and quiet 2-in-1 hybrid device.

It has a detachable 12.5-inch Full HD IPS display (1,920 x 1,080 resolution), SonicMaster audio technology, up to 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, and it runs on Windows 8.1.

The Chi is made with an all-aluminum design with diamond-cut chamfering at the edges. It also features a new magnetic hinge mechanism that helps keep the screen/tablet in place. You don’t have to worry about it detaching easily, the magnets are pretty strong. And the great thing is you can detach the screen from the keyboard and it’ll still work because it’s connected to the screen via Bluetooth.

Now if you want something midrange, the Transformer Book T300FA is another Intel Core M-powered hybrid.

This machine has a 12.5-inch IPS HD display (1,366 x 768 resolution). It also has a magnetic-type hinge with Bluetooth connection.

ROG G Series G551
If you’re more of a gamer, the new Republic of Gamers (ROG) G Series G551 will definitely be up your alley.

It is powered by an Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M with 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM, Windows 8.1, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

The ROG G551 keeps to the G Series’s design with its matte black, brushed aluminum finish and red diamond-cut edges as well as gamer-ready keyboard. It has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and SonicMaster Premium audio. It also has a Trinity Display output to allow for multi-monitor gaming or multitasking. And in case you still need it, there’s also a DVD Super Multi/Blu-ray optical drive as well as built-in HD camera and array microphone.

The Transformer Book T300 Chi comes with either an Intel Core M 5Y71 or 5Y10 processor and it retails for P46,995 and P39,995, respectively. Meanwhile, the Transformer Book T300FA has a suggested retail price of P32,995. And the ROG G Series G551 costs P69,995.
