With the approval of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)’s regarding Grab’s P2 per minute travel charge, the TNVS company announced that they are to help customers adjust by temporarily lowering its surge pricing.
According to a statement released by Grab Philippines’ Public Affairs Head Leo Gonzales, the usual rush hour surge pricing of 2.0x will be lowered to 1.6x,
With this, Grab hopes to have an increased number of drivers who’ll serve their users, as many of them went offline when the P2-per-minute charge was suspended by the LTFRB—due tot the decisions’ uneconomical implications.
