Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) today announced that it will offer iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular and iPad mini 3 with Wi-Fi + Cellular later this week.
Smart will offer these new iPads with a range of attractive data plans that will allow customers to connect to its ultra-fast LTE with speeds up to 42 Mbps. The iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 will both be available starting at Plan 1499, which already comes with 85 hours of Internet surfing every month. An initial cash-out of P7,200 and P2,700, respectively, will apply upon subscription.
iPad Air 2 is the thinnest tablet in the world — weighing less than a pound yet packed with amazing new innovations including a new anti-reflective Retina display, all new iSight and FaceTime HD cameras for better photos and videos, A8X second generation 64-bit chip delivering improved CPU and graphics performance, faster Wi-Fi and LTE wireless, and the revolutionary Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor.
So thin and light you can comfortably hold it all day long, iPad Air 2 gives you access to the more than 675,000 apps specifically designed for it — all while delivering great 10-hour battery life. The new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, also including Touch ID, come in three gorgeous metallic finishes including gold, silver and space gray.
All-month surf
The iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 are also available on Plan 1999 and Plan 1799, respectively, and comes with 3.5GB of mobile data every month plus All-Month Surf. An initial cash-out of P7,200 and P2,700 will apply, respectively.
With Smart’s new All-Month Surf, subscribers will be able to enjoy limitless basic Internet surfing and access to online services such as their favorite social networking sites, blogs, web searching, chat messaging, and email reading, among others. This is best for casual users who have very light Internet requirements on the go.
But once they access bandwidth-heavy online activities such as downloading and streaming, the data they consume will be counted against their monthly volume allocation. Once their volume data runs out, they will no longer be able to access these services but can continue to do basic Internet surfing thanks to All-Month Surf. But if they want to continue accessing bandwidth-heavy online activities, they have the option to purchase additional volume data buckets through the Smart Bro Dashboard.
Subscribers can enjoy the new iPads with the country’s largest broadband network, backed by more than 10,000 4G (HSPA+/LTE) sites all around the country so they can enjoy the best of the Internet whenever and wherever they may be.
Customers can buy iPad Air 2 with Wi-Fi + Cellular and iPad mini 3 with Wi-Fi + Cellular at Smart Stores and online at store.smart.com.ph starting December 12. For complete details on pricing, please visit smart.com.ph/ipad.
