When we talk about flagship devices, the image that often comes to mind is a hefty, feature-packed phone. But in a sea of bulky flagships, vivo chooses to be an outlier with the vivo X200 FE, flaunting a sleek and compact design. It also packs a few tricks up its sleeve like ZEISS-powered imaging and a massive battery.
But does it deliver heavyweight performance to match its lightweight build? Let’s find out in this review.
Design and build

It’s commendable when a tech brand knows how to work around subtle designs without making it look bland or overly familiar. The vivo X200 FE follows this formula, showcasing an eye-soothing shade of blue with a smooth matte finish — something you’ll not easily get tired of.
Our review unit comes in Blue Breeze, but if you want an even more toned down option there’s the understated Black Luxe color.
The X200 FE features a sleek, boxy frame that’s both premium-looking and easier to grip. It also feels comfortable to hold unlike smartphones with sharp edges that dig into your palms. Adding to the ergonomic feel is its lightweight build, weighing just 186g with a thickness of 7.99mm.

Users don’t need to worry about daily wear and tear thanks to its glass back and aluminum frame. And with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, it’s a reliable companion even in the rainy metro.
Display
On the flipside, the X200 FE sports a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2640 × 1216 resolution. The result is sharp, smooth, and crisp visuals — perfect for someone like me who enjoys entertainment on the go.

Not to mention, with a peak brightness of 5000 nits, it’s easy to view even under direct sunlight, making fun and readability go hand in hand. You can also feel less guilty being glued to your device with its eye care technology: 2160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and SGS Low Blue Light Certification.
Camera
We’re now at the main event: the ZEISS-powered cameras of the X200 FE. Year after year, this collaboration has impressed photography enthusiasts with its true-to-life colors, as well as its low-light performance and telephoto capabilities. The camera panel consists of the 50MP (f/1.88) main camera, 50MP (f/2.65) telephoto camera, and 8MP ultra-wide angle camera.

These days, the telephoto cameras on every smartphone I’ve tested or used have become my best friends — my go-to for the shots I want to capture. And the X200 FE truly shines in this area, delivering sharp and detailed shots of distant objects thanks to its 3x optical zoom.

Shooting in good lighting proved effortless — all you need is a creative eye to compose beautiful photos. Meanwhile, in low-light scenarios, the X200 FE consistently delivers high-quality shots without losing much detail.

I also tried the ZEISS Multifocal Portrait at 35mm and 50mm, and it did a great job of highlighting the subject in the foreground while letting the background fade away seamlessly.

Selfie enthusiasts can enjoy the 50MP (f/2.0) front camera, perfect for capturing picture-perfect moments or group selfies.
And of course, AI features make a cameo in this flagship device. You can reframe subjects and objects, expand backgrounds, erase clutter, and even transform your background vibe with different seasonal effects.
Performance

Under the hood, the X200 FE is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. In real-world use, this translates to a satisfyingly smooth and hitch-free experience.
My workday usually involves a lot of multitasking on my phone — switching between apps to answer emails, shoot photos and videos, and post on social media, to name a few. No matter how many tasks I throw at it, the X200 FE keeps up, maintaining that responsive feel without any noticeable lag.
The device also showcases its gaming prowess, effortlessly handling titles like Mobile Legends and Asphalt Legends Unite even at the highest graphical settings. You can expect long gaming sessions to stay smooth, with stable frame rates and minimal heating all throughout.
Battery and charging
Surprisingly, the X200 FE carries a 6500mAh battery despite its light form factor. And yes — it powers through your 9 to 5, leaving you with more than enough juice to unwind with your favorite Netflix series or mobile game.
When I ran out of juice, powering up the device from 0 to 100% with the 90W FlashCharge took less than an hour. That big-battery, fast-charging combo is a lifesaver for anyone who’s constantly creating content or working on the go.
Verdict

To sum it up, the vivo X200 FE stands out in the flagship segment by offering a compact design without cutting corners. Yet again, its biggest flex is its camera capabilities, especially with ZEISS-powered optics in the picture.
It continues to put its best foot forward in all areas, making it a reliable choice not just for content creators and photographers, but also for gamers, power users, and multitasking workaholics. And with a price tag of PHP 44,999, it offers great value for different kinds of users.
