The teaser from Xiaomi Philippines isn’t really subtle. In fact, it screams “Mi! Mi! Mi! Mi!” Four months after making its debut in India, it looks like the latest device from the Chinese tech giant just might be making its way to our shores.
A quick refesher of the specs: you get a 5-inch Sharp/JDI fully laminated Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a second generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip with Adreno 406 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, and Android Lollipop 5.0 with MIUI 6 running on top. It also has a 13-megapixel rear camera that makes use of Sony/Samsung sensors with f/2.0 lens and dual-tone flash. You also get a 5-megapixel front camera with f/1.8 lens. It is also an LTE-capable dual SIM device with 3,120mAh battery.
Now, how much will it cost when it makes its way here? That we can’t say right now. It debuted in India for Rs. 12,999 (which is just under P10,000). If it hits below that price tag, they might have another winner on their hands. And yes, we are completely assuming we’re getting the Mi 4i now.
