Xiaomi has expanded its network of service centers with its first exclusive one in Greenhills, San Juan. The Mi Exclusive Service Center is intended to provide service and support for Xiaomi smartphones and accessories. It is also a showroom for products and accessories. The company’s Mi Bunny mascot can also be seen taking up a significant portion of the store.
The Chinese company already has seven repair centers and 50 drop-off points around the country but this is the first one that caters exclusively to Xiaomi. They will service customers with products under warranty as well as repair those out of warranty but those will be charged. They also offer device replacement if the situation calls for it.
According to Xiaomi’s Southeast Asia General Manager Steve Vickers, the cost of repairs depends on the damage. For example, a broken screen on a Mi 3 will cost you around P5,000.
Turnaround time can range from two hours to two business days if dropped off at the Service Center. For those handed off at drop-off points, they will need around five business days.
As previously mentioned, the Mi Exclusive Service Center is also meant to showcase Xiaomi’s line of products and accessories. They aren’t selling the accessories yet but they plan to eventually. As for the devices, Vickers said Xiaomi intends to stick with its business plan of offering their products through Lazada or through our local telcos.
Xiaomi currently sells the Mi 3 and Redmi 1S locally. We spotted the Mi Pad at the Service Center but they won’t disclose when the product will officially come to the Philippines. Vickers gave the same response when asked about the local availability of the Mi 4.
If you have an issue with your Xiaomi device or you just want to check out their products, you can visit the Xiaomi Mi Exclusive Service Center at 2nd floor of One Kennedy Place, Club Filipino Drive, Greenhills, San Juan.
