Ahead of its digital release, Volcom’s exclusive distributor, Primer Group of Companies, hosts the film premiere of Holy Stokes, a skateboarding-centric film unlike any other. The Philippine premiere was held on May 30th at Century City Cinema with Volcom Pro Skaters Grant Taylor, Collin Provost, Dane Burman, and Jackson Pilz attending the premiere.
Volcom also hosted signing for fans of skaters as well as an after party held at 12 Monkeys Musica Hall and Pub. The guests were treated to food, drinks, and music from Sandwich, Bleu Rascals, Solo El Fuerte, and Mathe Band.
Holy Stokes! is the first full-length skate film from Veeco Productions since Let’s Live in 2007. It’s shot entirely in 4K ultra high-definition by skate-film auteur Russell Houghten. Shot in dozens of locations spanning every corner of the globe, it builds on more than 20 years and 30 influential films from the world of Volcom.
Some of the filming locations include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Toronto, London, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Perth, Sydney, Auckland, and Bali, to name a few. Aside from those who graced the Philippine premiere, some of the other big name skaters featured in the film include Alex Midler, Arto Saari, Daan Van Der Linden, David Gonzalez, Jordan Trahan, Kyle Walker, Milton Martinez, and Ryan Sheckler.
Holy Stokes! will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, xBox, and Vimeo On Demand on June 7th.
