Returning for the second consecutive year as the Official Presenting Partner of NBA All-Star Voting in the Philippines, vivo joins the NBA in celebrating the highly anticipated NBA All-Star weekend taking place in the San Francisco Bay Area from Saturday, Feb. 15 through Monday, Feb. 17.
New All-Star Game Format
NBA All-Star Voting presented by vivo provided fans in the Philippines with the opportunity to vote for their favorite NBA Players from each conference as starters for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, which will be played on Monday, Feb. 17 at Chase Center in San Francisco. The voting process consisted of selections by fans (50% of the vote), current NBA players (25%) and a media panel (25%), which resulted in multi-time All-Stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and veteran superstars Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and LeBron James being named among the 10 starters for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
Here’s the twist – this year, it’s a whole new ball game. For the first time, the NBA All-Star Game will feature a mini-tournament with four teams and three games. The 24 NBA All-Star selections will be divided evenly into three teams, with the rosters selected by NBA Legends Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith live on TNT in the NBA All-Star Draft on Friday, Feb. 7. The fourth team will be the winning team from the championship game of the Castrol Rising Stars, the annual showcase of top first- and second-year NBA players and NBA G League standouts, which will be led by WNBA Legend Candace Parker.
