Twitter Southeast Asia comms team announces a new update for visual content on Twitter.
For the last few months, we’ve been testing with a select group the ability to mix different forms of media in a single Tweet so that people can share more visual context to express themselves beyond 280 characters. Starting today, we’re making this update available to everyone so they can start mixing and matching different types of media content, whether it’s a photo, GIF and video (or two!) all in one Tweet. It’s incredibly easy: just select up to four types of media, upload them within the composer and hit publish!
Here are some great examples of how creators, brands and others on Twitter have been taking advantage of this update and bringing more engaging visual content to their timelines across music, sports, photography and more:
- Artists promoting music such as Nicki Minaj and Demi Lovato, giving tour highlights like K-pop group Seventeen, and celebrating career milestones like Usher.
- Sports teams and leagues sharing game highlights like the Sixers and Celtics and athletes like Lebron James.
- Creators sharing their behind-the-scenes process like @blackprints, @jakechams, @Brandonwoelfel and @hellotefi.
With this update, creators have more ways to tell a story, showcase their work and express themselves through a single Tweet. Read more about what creators @blackprints and @jakechams have to say about how they’ve used this update to elevate their work in the Twitter blog and the Twitter Help Center.
You can also check out these Tweets from @TwitterSupport, @Twitter, and @TwitterPH.
Have fun mixing it up with this new update and making your Tweets more visual, expressive, and maybe even more eclectic! Happy Tweeting!
