Toyota celebrates Land Cruiser’s 10-million global sales milestone

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) joins the rest of the Toyota global family in celebration of the 10 million cumulative sales of its iconic nameplate, the Land Cruiser. In the worldwide sales report as of August 31, the Land Cruiser surpassed 10 million units sold across 170 countries. Aside from the Middle East, notable regions of high Land Cruiser sales volume include Europe, Oceania, and Asia.

Locally, the Toyota Land Cruiser already sold a total of 14,005 units since its introduction in 1995. Its best-selling year so far was in 2017, where it sold a record-breaking 2,454 units of the LC200 and Prado variants combined.

“In the Philippines, the Toyota Land Cruiser is known for being a status vehicle,” said TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Mr. Sherwin Chua Lim. “The LC has come a long way since it was introduced here more than two decades ago, and its proven durability makes the model an enduring icon among Filipinos.”
