In what seemed like a harmless Instagram Story, Spider-Man a.k.a. Tom Holland might have just leaked the new poster for Avengers: Infinity War. Or was it a leak? It smells like an incredily clever marketing ploy to us.
In the live video, Holland was “unboxing” a package he got from Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What was inside was supposedly the first poster of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and a note from Ruffalo written at the back of a confidential notice from Marvel. Holland in a panic quickly ended the Instagram Story. But with the video still up on his page, we’re willing to guess this was all planned.
Marvel Studios seems to be picking on the fact and joke that the two actors are considered the biggest source of leaks in the MCU cast. Ruffalo accidentally livestreamed the first few minutes of Thor: Ragnarok during its premiere. While the video wasn’t shown, you can hear audio from the movie. Holland himself has said in past interviews that Marvel doesn’t trust him with key moments or spoilers because he’s bad a keeping secrets. With May 4 still many months away, we can’t wait what these two will spill before the movie hits theaters.
