If you were holding out from getting the Nintendo Switch because of the rumors that a Nintendo Switch 2 is coming, then you might be in for a really long wait. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa recently confirmed with Japan’s Sankei News that this isn’t in the cards at the moment. Furukawa was answering a question about the company’s goal to sell 20 million units in this fiscal year. His translated response was, “It is an extremely ambitious, but worthwhile achievement. So, we will maintain this goal. Nintendo Switch is our primary sales objective, and we are not considering a successor or a price cut at this time.”
So, if you really want to get a Switch, we suggest you do so now. There are recent rumors that a more compact Switch is coming but with the conflicting reports, we’d rather take Nintendo’s official statement for now.
