Swiss watchmaking giant TAG Heuer was founded by Edouard Heuer in Saint-Imier, Switzerland in 1860. Today, TAG Heuer is celebrating 160 years of heritage with two new limited-edition Carrera chronographs. Both timepieces utilize an in-house Heuer 02 movement with 80-hour power reserve inspired by the classic Heuer Dato 45. They are significantly durable with water resistance set at 100 meters, a sapphire crystal glass, and a classic H-shaped steel bracelet complete with folding clasp and double safety buttons. Super-LumiNova indices make sure the watch is readable in every light setting. To top it all off are exclusive “ONE OF 1860” and “160 years Avant-Garde watchmaking” engravings on the oscillating mass case back. Both watches will be delivered in a special presentation box commemorating the 160th anniversary of TAG Heuer.
The first of the TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Anniversary timepieces is a 44mm fine-brushed chronograph with a lunar-white dial and jet-black minute and hour chronograph counters and ceramic tachymeter bezel. Contrasting this is a red-lacquered central sweeping hand. It features further red accents on the date window’s text and minutes sub-dial. The other anniversary watch contains the exact same features but with an “Endless Blue” brushed dial and bezel with lunar-white minute and hour chronograph counters. Whichever watch you decide upon, you can be sure legibility will be no issue wherever the watch takes you with its classic and clever use of color contrast and spacing.
The TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Anniversary retails for $5,950.00. It starts delivering on 11/14/2020 but is available now for pre-order.
