The all-new Toyota Zenix: electrifying both the MPV segment and Filipino families

With Toyota’s recent expansion of its existing range of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs)– which include the Corolla Cross, Corolla Altis, Camry and RAV4 –consumers can be assured that the drive to carbon neutrality is the direction the brand is headed.

Now, with the recent introduction of the much-anticipated Zenix, Toyota is now positioning itself to bring the electrified mobility experience to modern Filipino families.

As the first 7-seater HEV in Toyota’s already stacked line up, the all-new Zenix offers comfort, spaciousness and reliability in a self-charging hybrid system that ultimately facilitates an advanced energy efficient ride, a quieter drive and lower levels of emissions.

Toyota offers two variants for its Zenix, a 2.0 Q Hybrid CVT and a 2.0 V CVT, which target those who value versatility, style, comfort, convenience and reliability.

What I like most about the Zenix’s appearance is that, while still exuding all the qualities expected from a Toyota vehicle, they have elevated these facets even further and added characteristics which make it unique and distinct. From the exterior, the Toyota Zenix’s body gives off a bigger build, while its grille adds a certain taste of both sportiness and ruggedness.

Just as impressive is the Zenix’s interior, which boasts an upscaled and a more premium feel, not only evident in the more obvious aspects, but even in the finer details as well. From better quality materials, captain seats with power ottoman and power recline, a side table for practicality and functionality, ambient lighting, to a 7-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Multi-Info Display with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, the Zenix is really designed to offer a heightened experience for traveling families.

Moreover, Toyota has equipped the Zenix with a multitude of safety features, which is something that shouldn’t be overlooked, especially as a vehicle meant for families. Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Anti-Lock Brake System, Vehicle Stability Control, Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) are all ready to put safety at the forefront of your travels.

Its Hybrid variant starts at P1,953,000, while its gas variant starts at P1,670,000. Although some may argue that its price may be higher compared to previous Toyota MPV models, its various features and highlights more than justify it.

Available in all Toyota dealerships nationwide, the HEV variant comes in Platinum White Pearl Mica, Blackish Brown Mica and Dark Steel Mica. The gas variant, on the other hand, is available in Platinum White Pearl Mica, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic and Attitude Black Mica.

With Toyota’s recent introduction of the Zenix in the already loaded MPV segment, consumers can fully expect to see this latest HEV make a big splash in the market.
