Teleperformance (TP) Davao was hailed as the “Best Place to Work For” with the Madayaw Award in Davao City’s first-ever IT-BPM (Information Technology and Business Process Management) Awards.
The IT-BPM Awards, spearheaded by ICT Davao Inc. and sponsored by the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC), were created to recognize the brave and innovative businesses that chose to fight despite the near-insurmountable challenges posed by the COVID-pandemic.
During the Innovation Summit 2022 at Acacia Hotel Davao, Teleperformance Davao received the Madayaw Award (Best Place to Work For), which is the highest award for the enterprise category.
The committee plans to make the IT-BPM awards an annual event to give back to these companies that have done so much for the city while also encouraging more investors to come to Davao.
Teleperformance Philippines Chief Executive Officer Francisco Lara said, “Teleperformance Philippines remains steadfast to bringing not only more jobs to the country, but also a high-quality workplace where everyone can enjoy and grow. We have created and kept an awesome employee and workplace culture that we hope to share with more people across the country.”
Teleperformance Davao was launched in 2013 as the company’s first site in Mindanao. TP also launched the TP Cloud Campus, the company’s long-term remote work solution that allows home-based interaction experts to stay connected to their Teleperformance team via Cloud Campus hubs, with the goal of creating jobs. This is promoted by the TP Cloud Campus Jeepney, a mobile and cloud-connected workstation that goes on a nationwide tour that began in the National Capital Region, then traveled across Luzon, and is now making rounds in Visayas and Mindanao.
TP also started to launch Cloud Campus microsites in 2022 to strengthen the work-from-home solution’s recruitment and backend support, with the first one in Ilocos Norte and the second in General Santos City. The locations of these microsites were also selected to support the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)’s Digital Cities 2025 Program, which aims to strengthen the local economies of key cities outside of Metro Manila, particularly in the IT-BPM sector.
Teleperformance Philippines currently has around 61,000 employees nationwide and has received the Great Place to Work® certification for five consecutive years, the first and largest employer in the country to achieve this through an anonymous survey of at least 85% of their Philippine-based employees. They have also been recognized as one of the best workplaces in Asia and in the Philippines for 2022.
