The local release was celebrated at the TAG Heuer boutique in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City last March 22. We were also given the chance to hop in the racing simulator to clock in the fastest lap in an F1 Red Bull Racing car. It’s important to remember that TAG Heuer is an official partner and timekeeper of the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team as well.
The new timepiece (in various colors) was introduced to us media representatives, accompanied by delicious snacks and some champagne. We were definitely given the podium-finish treatment.
Get to know the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph
In terms of its movement, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph is an automatic watch that features the Calibre 16. This automatic chronograph ensures the most precise timekeeping. The watch also has a power reserve of 42 hours.
The size of its case is 44mm, with it being made of titanium grade 2. Water resistance is up to 200 m. All these ensure durability which makes the watch a perfect companion for outdoor and racing enthusiasts.
Rounding off the main features are the dial with opalin finishing and the rubber strap to complete the sporty aesthetic. The watch comes with a complimentary travel pouch as well.
There is a special variation that uses the color scheme of the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team with blue and yellow sprinkled all over the design. It is topped off with a special case back engraving of the team emblem and custom packaging to make the experience of owning this timepiece extra special.
