Motor Image Pilipinas is going all out by introducing the Subaru Evoltis in the Philippines. Dubbed as a ‘True Seven Seater’, the new Evoltis boasts of luxury, space, and performance with no compromises. It’s only available in the Touring EyeSight trim and it costs P3.480m. Before you close this tab, read on to see why it costs way more than other midsize SUVs.
From the outside, the Evoltis looks like a less sporty older brother of the Forester. It has less cladding, chrome and rolling on 20-inch wheels. It’s adorned by LED lights in all corners including the turn signals at the side mirrors, while the headlight has additional Auto Levelling function. At the top are roof spoilers and a huge 54-inch sunroof.
Open the doors and you’ll see why it costs as much as it does. Inside the Evoltis is a 2-2-3 layout with the second row having captain seats. It’s an all-leather affair complemented by an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 14-speaker 792-watt Harman-Kardon sound system, three-zone automatic climate control with rear seat controls, and 19 cup/bottle holders.
But apart from such tangible luxuries, the Evoltis is also robust to the core. It’s built on Subaru’s Global Platform and features their Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-Mode as standard. It also has their new FA24 2.4L turbo boxer engine that puts out 260 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque, paired to a Lineartronic CVT. This duo allows the Evoltis to pull up to 5,000 lbs.
The rest of its sticker price went to safety bits as Subaru says there’s over 100 safety features in the Evoltis. It has their EyeSight system that includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Sway Warning, Lead Vehicle Start Alert. Apart from these, the Evoltis also has 4-channel ABS, Active Torque Vectoring, Blind Spot Detection, Reverse Automatic Braking, and PIN Code access among others.
The new Subaru Evoltis is now available in their showrooms nationwide and is available in five colors. There’s a new Abyss Blue Pearl, then Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Crystal Black, and Crimson Red Pearl.
