Trying to get spoilers for the upcoming season of Stranger Things hasn’t been easy. At least until David Harbour (our beloved Sheriff Jim Hopper) decided to share some things to look forward to in the new season. These are what we found out from Sheriff Hopper:
Season 2’s timeline
It’s set quite sometime after the first season. It’s supposedly a year after Will has come back. And it looks like a lot of people are still kept in the dark. How that big of an event was kept under wraps is beyond us.
It’s a year later in the story, so there are several things that happened last year, like Will has come back. There are certain people in the town that know what happened, and then certain people that don’t know what happened. So there’s a lot of fallout with who knows what.
Still no #JusticeForBarb
Unfortunately, it looks like Barb isn’t coming back in the way we’d hope. But at least it looks like Nancy is finally acknowledging the loss of her friend. Now, if only the town would do the same.
The question and the feelings that Nancy has that no one ever cares about her friend Barb, are very much present in the beginning of the season.
Joyce Byers + Samwise Gamgee?
No, the series hasn’t moved to the Shire but the Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin will be coming to Hawkins and will be playing Joyce’s new boyfriend. Harbour claims this development comes “much to the chagrin of the chief of police.”
Yes, we’re still pretty excited for season 2 of The Duffer Brothers’s show. It’s expected to show sometime this year. We can’t wait to welcome the entire gang back.
