Aside from bringing in the new Xperia devices, Sony has also brought in two of its newest wearables for those who want to act out their fantasy of being Dick Tracy/Inspector Gadget/insert spy movie hero/heroine of choice.
SmartBand Talk
This “lifelogging” device features a curved 1.4-inch e-paper display that gives you updates of your Lifelog activities, tells you the time, and gives you notifications. It’s most important (and slightly gimmicky) function is it has a built-in microphone and speaker that will let you make and take calls. Of course, that mic will also let you use your voice to control specific smartphone operations. It supports US and UK English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.
The SmartBand Talk comes with an accelerometer and altimeter and like a lot of Sony devices it is IP68 rated for waterproofing. It will be available starting next month in black for P8,990. Other colors will be rolled out at another unspecified release date.

SmartWatch 3
Sony’s entry into the Android Wear market is coming next month, too. The SmartWatch 3 lets you Google-reliant people access what you need from the tech giant right from your wrist. It has a 1.6-inch 320 x 320 transflective display, stainless steel core unit, and IP 68 waterproof rating. It also has a built-in accelerometer, compass, gyro, and GPS. It will be available in black and white and will have straps in red & blue and pink & white. The SmartWatch 3 will retail for P11,990.
