Sony expands its full-frame mirrorless camera line with the α7R III.
Thanks to an evolutionary leap in image processing power and efficiency, the new α7R III combines immense capabilities and a compact, lightweight body making it an extremely versatile and reliable tool for photographers, videographers, and all types multimedia creators.
The 35mm full-frame, 42.4-megapixel high-resolution, back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor utilizes a gapless on-chip lens design and anti-reflective coating on the surface of the sensor’s seal glass. This dramatically improves light collection efficiency that results in high sensitivity with low-noise performance and wide dynamic range.

It’s also equipped with an innovative 5-axis optical image stabilization system, resulting in a 5.5 step shutter speed advantage—which is the world’s highest compensation performance. This results in photographs that have less blur—fit for taking stunning but moving vistas like the sea or waterfalls.
Another innovation in the α7R III is its refined image processing system that allows it to shoot full 42.4-megapixel images at up to 10 frames per second with continuous, accurate AF/AE tracking. This high speed mode is available with either a mechanical shutter or a completely silent shooting, adding to the immense flexibility of the camera.
Highly capable shooting photographs, its video capability isn’t a slouch, either. It offers 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) video recording across the full width of the full-frame image sensor.  When shooting in Super 35mm format, the camera uses full pixel readout without pixel binning to collect 5K of information. The process produces high quality footage with exceptional detail and depth.

When you’ve shot all the videos and photos you need, transferring files with the α7R III is a breeze. You can easily transfer files to your smartphone, tablet, computer, or even an FTP service via Wi-Fi. It also has a USB 3.1 Type-C terminal that adds flexibility that allows for fast charging and transfer speed when copying photos to your laptop or PC.
Other features of Sony’s latest full-frame camera include longer battery life, dual media slots for SD cards, an a multi-selector joystick that provides a fast, efficient way to shift focus points, as well as an AF ON button to activate autofocus, fast. It also comes with a software suite called Imaging Edge that extends the creative capabilities of the entire shooting process.
The Sony α7R III retails for P179,999.
