Mobile network leader in PH
Smart, the undisputed leader in 5G in the Philippines, has been cited as the fastest and most reliable 5G network by Ookla, the global leader in internet testing and analysis. Smart has expanded its nationwide 5G network to around 6,400 base stations, putting the telco’s total base stations as of end-September to 72,600, enabling Smart to cover 96% of the population from Batanes to Tawi-Tawi.
Supporting Smart’s 5G network is PLDT’s fiber infrastructure of about 615,000 kilometers as of the end of September.
Mobile customers who intend to make the Smart move while keeping their current mobile number can easily secure their slots for Mobile Number Portability (MNP) transactions through the online booking site or via the GigaLife App.
Customers can simply go to http://smrt.ph/bookanapp. Under Store Appointments, they can choose their preferred Smart Store. Once done, they can choose the service Switch to Smart. They can also choose between Switch to Smart – Virtual Appointment or Switch to Smart – In Store Appointment.
After choosing their preferred schedule among the available dates and timeslots, they will receive a confirmation via email.
Interested subscribers can also make the Smart move via the GigaLife App, which is downloadable on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Under MNP, customers may also switch their prepaid account to a postpaid plan and vice-versa without replacing their mobile number.
Mobile users can now switch to Smart by first securing a Unique Subscriber Code from their originating provider to serve as clearance and by bringing it to the nearest Smart Store along with a valid ID and any proof of mobile ownership. From there, Smart will begin processing the MNP application without any charges.
To know more about switching to Smart, mobile users may also visit smrt.ph/switch or head to the nearest Smart Store.
