Here’s a treat from iflix, Smart, and PLDT Home. Smart subscribers get free three-month access to the video streaming service, while PLDT Home subscribers get free access for up to 12 months.
What do you get with the freebies? Unlimited access to iflix’s catalog, which you can download and watch offline. iflix is also touting a new “instant access” feature for Smart, Sun, and TNT subscribers where eligible subscribers can simply go to the iflix app or iflix.com and they won’t need to sign up or sign in. The iflix system will supposedly recognize that you’re on Smart’s network.
The promo will be live before December 25th. And it will be available for both new and existing iflix subscribers. For PLDT Home subscribers, the owner of the DSL account will receive a voucher for them to claim their free 12-month subscription. These freebies will come at no extra charge for the subscribers. The freebies for Smart subscribers are valued at P387, while PLDT Home subscribers (these include DSL, Fibr, ULTERA, and Telpad) is valued at P1,584.
You can use an iflix account for up to five devices. It’s priced at P129 per month for unlimited access without ads for non-Smart and non-PLDT Home subscribers. And yes, it works for prepaid users, too. If you download videos for offline viewing, you can keep it on your device for seven days.
Ariel P. Fermin, PLDT and Smart EVP and Consumer Business head, introduced a new Big Bytes promo for Smart subscribers. The Big Bytes 15 comes with 300MB for iflix on top of 40MB open access for other ‘net services. This is valid for two days and is said to be worth two full-length movies or five episodes of your favorite show.
