Hot off the heels of a successful Gear S2, Samsung has released another heavy hitter to cap off the year—the Gear S3. With every iteration of its Gear S line, Samsung has engineered smartwatches that constantly improve on one another. The Gear S3 maximizes technological innovation and packages it into a design language that edges even closer into wristwear fashion.
The Samsung Gear S3 is complemented by a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display that delivers bold and immersive color feedback and a customizable Always-On Display Mode that keeps track of notifications even when your phone is out of reach. The rotating bezel makes a return with a smoother and more tactile feel.
Regardless of usage, the Gear S3 is protected by Gorilla Glass SR+ and IP68 certification. It is resistant to dust and water; it can be submerged for 30 minutes under 1.5m of fresh water. It also comes with the standard slew of fitness trackers and sensors like a barometer, an altimeter, and a speedometer.
Inside, the Gear S3 is built with a dual-core 1.0GHz Exynos 7270 chipset, which comes with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It is packaged with the latest Tizen 2.3.2 software.
The Gear S3 is powered by a 380mAh Li-ion battery which boasts usage of up to four days.
It is available in either the stylish Classic or the rugged Frontier variant.
Starting December 12 to January 8, you can preorder the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier or Classic through Lazada or Abenson. The preorder package comes with two free interchangeable straps worth P1,700 each. The watch retails for P16,490.
