Accelerate victory with the 2025 Strix SCAR and Strix G

The 2025 ROG Strix lineup features bold new chassis designs for the new Intel-based Strix SCAR 18, Strix SCAR 16, Strix G18, and Strix G16. This includes full-surround RGB lighting and the first tool-less bottom panel available on a gaming laptop. With a single button press, users can easily open their machine to clean fans or upgrade RAM and storage, no ribbon cables or screws required. All 2025 Strix SCAR machines also feature ROG Nebula HDR displays with a dual-layer ACR film, which reduces reflections by 55% and boosts contrast by 4.5X, giving gamers more vivid colors and making it easier to see enemies than ever before.

With up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage on the Strix SCAR 16 and 18, and up to 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage on the Strix G16 and G18, these machines are the perfect match for users with demanding loads. 

This year, ROG is using a new sandwiched heatsink design on its Intel-based Strix machines, which adds heatsink fins to the top and bottom of the new end-to-end vapor chamber. This new design saves space and increases cooling efficiency, especially when combined with a full-length rear exhaust vent, liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, and plenty of intake space on the side, bottom, and keyboard. Taken together, this thermal system allows these laptops to push up to a total of 230W of power in Turbo Mode (255W in Manual Mode), with less noise than the previous generation. All the while, integrated dust filters keep debris out of the system for extra longevity.   

Meanwhile, the 2025 AMD-based Strix G16 are cooled by 7 heat pipes with full-surround vents and a full-width heatsink for excellent heat dissipation. Paired with up to a tri-fan cooling solution, these laptops keep the VRAM and GPU cool to boost performance where gamers need it the most.
