Reef is a brand known for integrating technology into their products—more specifically into its footwear. That is why it comes to no surprise that they created a sandal with what they call the “Thirst Quenching Technology” or better known as TQT. This technology is found in the Reef Fannings, a signature design from brand ambassador and professional surfer Mick Fanning.
TQT was basically invented to provide the need of not carrying too much with you on the beach, especially an item you would usually forget to bring. Thus, Reef added a bottle opener in the sole of the Fannings sandals. Not only is it functional, it is also a great conversation starter. After all, it’s not every day that you find a bottle opener in your pocket, more so on your feet.
Up to this day, Reef is still upgrading more products by coming up with new technologies that will shape the way we think about shoes. The crazier it sounds, the better it works!
