Putting in perspective the growing inclination towards video content consumption, particularly short-form videos, realme is on the right track highlighting visual quality this year. On February 14, the brand is set to launch its latest number lineup — the realme 10 Pro series 5G. Here are our initial thoughts on the realme 10 Pro 5G variant.
Design and build
The realme 10 Pro 5G still carries the same stylish and trendy design that the number series is known for. But this time it comes in a sleek matte finish — a much better option to avoid pesky fingerprint marks. While I like the boxy frame that gives you an easier grip, the overall build still feels quite hefty at 190g.
There’s also the convenience of the power button working as a fingerprint scanner.
Display
For the main event, it showcases its 6.72” FHD + LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate. My brief interaction with the UI was very smooth, and quite noticeably the screen has slimmer bezels. It also highlights durability since it makes use of double-reinforced glass.
Camera
We get a major jump in resolution with the realme 10 Pro 5G housing a 108MP ProLight Camera. We’ll see how it’ll fare in unfavorable lighting conditions and if the quality of photos remains the same after zooming in.
You also have the 16MP front camera at your disposal to capture all your picture perfect selfies.
Performance
For most of your day-to-day activities, you can expect the realme 10 Pro 5G to deliver as it’s powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G processor and is equipped with 8GB of RAM with up to 8GB Dynamic RAM Expansion. Whether it can support recreational gamers well, we’ll find out about this as well in our full review.
Battery
Nothing much new compared to its predecessor in this area. The device still comes with a large 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charge.
Final thoughts
The realme 10 Pro 5G loads up on all-around specs that make it ideal for a typical user. Stay tuned to know if it shines in visual quality, and if, overall, you’ll get the bang for your buck.
