Aftermarket car audio provider Pioneer has brought in its 2015 line of subwoofers and a new ultra-compact amplifier into the country.
Pioneer Champion series subwoofers
The new Champion series subwoofers inherits the Pioneer Champion Flagship SPL’s (Sound Pressure Level) independent spider holder. Having it separated from the basket, this feature is designed to boost bass and improve linearity of excursion at high volumes. These subwoofers are also designed to prevent cone failure at high sound pressure levels with the new IMPP Composite Cone. Dual Layer Elastic Polymer Surround is meant to improve sound quality at louder volumes. Punchy bass is possible through the highly rigid, fully enclosed basket structure. And magnetic circuitry is fixed to the basket to prevent sound-distorting recoil to the cone.
The Champion series subwoofers are available in 10- and 12-inch versions with dual or single 4-ohm voice coils. The models include TS-W261D4 (10-inch), TS-W261S4 (10-inch), TS-W311 (12-inch), TS-W311D4 (12-inch), and TS-W311S4 (12-inch).
Pioneer GM-D1004
While it is touted as Pioneer’s smallest digital amplifier, the GM-D1004 isn’t something you underestimate. It is capable of producing clear, powerful sound because of its high-power 100 W x 4 channels. But it does away with complicated wiring because of its compact size. You can install it behind the center console or inside the console box with the cables included. Equipped with Total Vibration Control, it is expected to get rid of audible distortion from microscopic component resonance. An input sensor automatically detects the input signal and chooses between RCA and speaker level. It even has Protection Control System that senses the internal temperature and adjusts input level accordingly.
The Champion series subwoofers and GM-D1004 are available through Pioneer authorized dealers. You can find out more about these products over at the Pioneer Car Entertainment Facebook page.
