Late last year, Peugeot Philippines launched the Protectors of Environment Program as its way of fully embracing its responsibility to the environment. Through the Protectors of the Environment Program, every purchase of a Peugeot vehicle will be augmented by a tree planting initiative. For every new vehicle sold, Peugeot will be planting three (3) trees in a protected area near Angat Dam in Norzagaray. Each new Peugeot car owner will get to name their children as owners of these trees – making the effort holistic, responsible and forward looking.
Last September 10, Peugeot Philippines, together with its partners in the project the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Briquettor Philippines, planted its first 210 trees in commemoration of Peugeot’s 210th anniversary, which is being celebrated throughout the month of September 2020. “We’re very glad that despite the limitations brought forth by the current health situation, we were able to schedule our tree planting during the proper plating season. As a way of celebrating Peugeot’s own 210th birthday, we’ve planted our first 210 trees, but it certainly won’t stop there. We’re committed to this program for the long term. For as long as people are purchasing Peugeot vehicles, we will be planting trees,” said Dong Magsajo, Peugeot Philippines Business Development Director.
The Protectors of the Environment program is one of many confidence building initiatives of Peugeot Philippines. For more information about Peugeot’s services and initiatives, customers may contact info@peugeot.ph or visit facebook.com/PeugeotPhilippines.
