With family always at the heart of the last privately-owned Geneva watch manufacture, Patek Philippe holds the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Singapore 2019 Family Days, set to take place across two Sundays, October 6 and 13, 2019.
Dedicated to families in celebration of the company’s philosophy and values, the Family Days will provide visitors with educational opportunities to explore the world of fine Swiss mechanical watchmaking. The Watch Art Grand Exhibition is an opportunity for watch aficionados to share their passion with family and immerse their loved ones in the world of Patek Philippe, as if they had travelled to Geneva and visited the historic salons on Rue du Rhone in Geneva or the Patek Philippe Museum personally.
The largest one of its kind ever, the exhibition will run from 28 September to 13 October 2019 in the facilities of the famed Marina Bay Sands Theatre at the heart of Singapore and will showcase Patek Philippe’s tradition of high-precision watch manufacturing, while celebrating its heritage in the domain of Haute Horlogerie. Ten specific rooms (including the Cinema Room, Current Collection Room, Napoleon Room, Museum Room, Rare Handcrafts Room, Watchmakers Room, Grand Complications Room, Movements Room, Interactive Room, Singapore and Southeast Asia Room) have been created to showcase unique environments of Patek Philippe. Visitors will have access to a rich collection of Rare Handcrafts timepieces inspired by the cultural and artistic traditions of the countries in this region.

A variety of interactive activities will also take place between 10:00am and 5:00pm on Sunday 6 and 13 of October 2019. Each child will be greeted with a welcome kit before they are sent on a “Time Treasures” hunt that allows them to create their own watches inspired by the exhibition. Specially designed balloons, a Watch Tattoo station, and a coloring station are some of the offerings throughout the days. The young ones will have the opportunity to imagine themselves as a Patek Philippe watchmaker through a mechanical clock making kit for children, exemplifying the inner workings of such timepieces. Families visiting the Grand Exhibition can take home a memory of the exhibition by taking a photograph in the photo studio dressed as watchmakers. During the Family Days, the public will also be able to explore the world of watchmaking by meeting Master watchmakers and artisans from Patek Philippe Geneva. They will be showcasing watch parts and explaining specific components magnified on screens. Enameller, engravers and marquetry makers will also be on site explaining details about the decorative techniques.
The Watch Art Grand Exhibition Singapore 2019 is a free public exhibition. To gain admission, visitors must first reserve their free tickets (access to the booking platform on www.patek.com)
