Nissan Terra joins the dark side

Nissan Philippines is making their own momentum to start the year by updating the top variant of their midsize SUV. The Nissan Terra VL gets dark accents inside and out, further elevating its intimidating look.

The Terra is not one with an outlandish amount of chrome unlike some of its competitors, but the blacked-out touch is a very welcome change to make the top trim stand out. Gloss black was applied on the front grille and front bumper accents, door handles, side mirrors, step board, and wheels, while the rear license plate holder is in dark chrome.

There’s also more aesthetic coherence inside as the former silver touches were now replaced with dark chrome, which goes well with the black/dark brown leather upholstery. Combined with Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility Technology, the updates make the Nissan Terra VL more appealing.

The update comes after a very rough year for the industry as a whole, with Nissan coming out as the third largest brand, and the Terra being their third bestseller, after the Navara and Urvan, respectively.

In a statement, Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima said that the challenging year made them explore and innovate, reaching out to customers with digital solutions.

“There may be challenges in this new year, but with the safety of our employees, partners, customers and communities on top, we are ready to take them on with a renewed spirit of boldness and daring the impossible,” Najima said.
