There are a couple of announcements from Netflix that has us excited and intrigued. The first one seems like a no-brainer. Netflix announced in a couple of tweets that Stranger Things is coming back for a third season.

The Duffer brothers, the creators of Stranger Things, have been previously quoted saying they have material for at least two seasons. Some say they plan to end it after the fourth season. And we’d be fine with that if the story wraps up as it should. But if we get more, let’s just hope it doesn’t fizzle out like many shows have.

Aside from announcing the new season coming, there is no word yet when Stranger Things will be making a comeback. But if we base it off the other two seasons we just might see it before the end of 2018.

Now, if you grew up in the ’90s, the second bit of news might appeal to you. Netflix just ordered two 10-episode seasons of a Sabrina The Teenage Witch show based on the Archie Comics graphic novel The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. We’ll be seeing a darker Sabrina Spellman that has to deal with being both a half-human/half-witch teenager. It’s described as a “dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult, and witchcraft.”

The show was initially being developed for The CW by the team behind Riverdale but Netflix picked it up instantly. It probably has something to do with the popularity of Riverdale on its service. The show’s pilot will be written by Riverdale’s creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lee Toland Krieger will be directing, similar to what the two did to the aforementioned show. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater–all executive producers on Riverdale–will also executive produce the show. There is also no word yet on when this series will come out.
