Acer announced quite a number of smartphones at this year’s Mobile World Congress – three entry-level Android phones in the Jade Z, Liquid Z220 and Z520, and the company’s first Windows phone in the M220.
The Jade Z is an entry-level version of the Jade S that the company unveiled at CES 2015 earlier this year while the Z220 and Z520 are completely new devices the former of which is positioned as one of the cheapest Android Lollipop smartphones in the market. The Jade Z will also get Lollipop later this year but the Z520 will come with KitKat with unspecified date for its Lollipop update, if at all. Lastly, the M220, the company’s first Windows phone is also positioned as an entry-level device with its 4-inch WVGA TN display, Snapdragon 200 CPU, and 512MB of RAM.
The Jade Z and Z220 will be available in March in select territories. Acer did not mention a price for the Jade Z but the Z220 will be available for around 89 euros. The Z520 and M220 will be available in April for 109 and 79 euros, respectively.
