Meet the Oris Dat Watt Limited Edition II — a natural wonder

Continuing their collaboration with the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat, Oris is commemorating the occasion with a new timepiece: the Dat Watt Limited Edition II. Based on the Oris Aquis diver’s watch, this timepiece features a glimmering green dial, a distinctive shade reminiscent of the salt marshes that occupy much of the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea expands over 11,500 km2 in northern Europe and reaches 500 km along the coast of Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands. A unique feature of the Dat Watt Limited Edition II is its circular date function, which is marked by a white dash that rotates throughout a 360-degree channel over a 31-day timespan.

True to its Aquis roots, the Dat Watt Limited Edition II features a divers’ Swiss-made Oris Caliber 743 in-house movement. The Dat Watt Limited Edition II is truly a rugged performer, with a screw-down protective crown, 30 bar (300 meters) of water resistance, a uni-directional rotating bezel and a grey tungsten insert for safely timing dives. Lumed hands and hour markers make sure visibility is no issue wherever you are, whether in the dark of land or sea.

The Oris Dat Watt Limited Edition II also comes with a box containing a few more special goodies, such as an interchangeable cerulean blue rubber strap to accompany the tapered 3-link metal bracelet that comes with the watch. No matter which strap you choose, both are equipped with a safety clasp extension system so that you may adjust its length when wearing a wetsuit.

The Dat Watt Limited Edition II will be limited to just 2009 pieces, an acknowledgment of the Wadden Sea’s UNESCO listing.
