As part of McDonald’s Philippines’ continued commitment to safety and protection amidst the risk of COVID-19, McDonald’s has implemented a No-Touch delivery system in select areas.
The company shares that the crew’s hands are kept properly sanitized before handling food. Take out bags are also kept sealed and marked with a note that identifies it as a ‘No-Touch Delivery’ meal. The delivery backpacks and pouches are also sanitized every 2 hours while the riders conduct a temperature check and wash their hands before and after every delivery. They also carry rubbing alcohol and wear face masks when making deliveries.
When getting your order, the rider will tell you he’s doing a No-Touch Delivery and ask you where he should place the McDelivery backpack. Next, he will place the McDelivery backpack at your specified spot. Allow him to take 10 steps back. Open the McDelivery backpack. Take out your order and check if it’s complete. Then, get the pouch and pay. For cash payments, put your payment in the pouch. For online payments, sign the slip. Put the pouch back in the McDelivery backpack and let the rider know that he can now retrieve the McDelivery backpack.
