Ahead of the Philippine opening of “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” in cinemas next week, Warner Bros. Philippines invites movie and anime fans to visit Helms Deep at the Howlers Manila Cosplay and Music Festival this Saturday, December 7, at the CCP Open Grounds in Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Warner Bros. Philippines’ Helms Deep set-up covers two booths, Booths 10-11, near the cosplay area. It features the throne room, where fans can sit on the throne, just like Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. Freebies are also available for fans who will drop by the booth, including a map of Rohan.

Set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy of films, “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand (Brian Cox), the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf (Luke Pasqualino), a clever and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg – a mighty fortress that will later come to be known as Helm’s Deep.  Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Héra (Gaia Wise), the daughter of Helm, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their total destruction. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama. Producers include Oscar winner Philippa Boyens.
